Yep, I'm one of those Mom's that wants to get the next holiday done right after the previous one (Heart's Day). Does anyone have any good gift ideas for a 19 month old. She's delayed though and is around 12 months developmentally. She doesn't need anymore toys! So far I have a Pooh Easter board book, some bubbles, and a little chick that chirps. Any other ideas? She doesn't quite grasp the concept of coloring so coloring books and sidewalk chalk are out. Thanks for your thoughts!

Serious answers only please!!

She does have a physical therapist and plays with books more than her toys as she loves books!

Perhaps learning toys....building blocks? Colorful books to read to her? Melissa and Doug is a line of learning toys for children that you kind find pretty much anywhere. Picture books are great for kids because they teach them sizes, colors, numbers and words, etc. For outdoor toys, perhaps a few balls of vibrant colors so that you can reinforce "red ball" "blue ball" and throwing them up and down. If you use your imagination, you can do so much with such simple things! Hope those ideas help!

If her physical development/coordination is delayed, then I'd suggest asking her PT (should ought to have one, in such a case) to suggest the appropriate equipment that looks like a toy.

Or, even at 12 months development, books are always a great idea. Read them to her, and encourage her to play with them.

No matter what, most of her gifts at this point should be colourful, stimulating, and encouraging of her development, but still be or act as though they are toys.

In addition to what you've already purchased, buy some baby foods geared to Easter themes: lamb, ham, carrots, egg, plus something sweet like baby pudding. You might also get her baby grape juice and Zweiback toast--a bread and wine theme. I recommend, since Easter celebrates Jesus' resurrection, that you also get her a board book or baby book about the first Easter, and/or a video about the life of Jesus. There's also a good board book about Passover, the Jewish holiday which corresponds to Easter. I believe that Jesus' Last Supper was a Passover Seder, and he is our "Paschal (that is, Passover) Lamb". Happy Easter to you and your family!

My 18 month old isn't delayed at all but she has ALWAYS loved very soft blankies. Maybe your would enjoy a pretty, new fleece or other soft material blanket to cuddle up with? There is a VERY cute one with care bears at wlamart right now, very soft.

I thinks thats enough. When my kids were that little, they got a cute little stuffed animal and did an assisted egg hunt.

I like outdoor toys-sandbox items, playdough items (large like cookie cutters)
