According to Mark 15:34, just before Jesus died on the cross, he

"cried with a loud voice 'Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani'
which is interpreted "My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me'"

According to Mark, he died a few moments later without saying anything else. Does this mean that he been expecting God to save him, then just before he died finally realized that it wouldn't happen?

"Jesus’ last words on the cross, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" hardly seem to be the words of a man who planned it that way. It doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes to figure there is something wrong here. "

Some Christians like to say that either Jesus was God or he was crazy... I've been working on the latter hypothesis and have come to the conclusion that it is quite possible that Jesus was a charismatic schizophrenic. His followers lied and stole to support their adventures. The authors of the Bible - coincidentally a *ROMAN* "see" - had ulterior motives. So why not fashion a lot of crap to deify the guy for their purposes? Mythology was old hat by then, so they could easily just make more stuff up...

What fascinates me is the possibility that numerous followers of religions that claim a "personal relationship with God" might really be at least mildly schizophrenic. It took me a while to realize this because I had hoped to have similar experiences for a long time until I realized that "the small, still voice" in my head was not terribly wise. I also learned some time ago that the brain has too hemispheres connected by a neural network called the corpus collosum that, if severed, makes internal dialogue impossible and complicates reasoning to the point of constantly needing to talk to others to make even simple decisions. I am, as a result of this knowledge, more self-aware than many of my peers in terms of this internal dialogue. Could it be that they hear themselves and think it's someone supernatural?

No. Jesus came to die on the cross. He came to accomplish what he did alone, as God, to do what only God could do. Jesus could not have walked away from the cross because he had made a covenant with the Father and with mankind to die for the sins of man. Jesus is not a covenant breaker. God is not a covenant breaker. The Father is not a covenant breaker. God did not abandon Jesus because Jesus is God, the second member of the Trinity, co-equal to God. It was God who died on the cross when Jesus died. Jesus was crying out to be receive up into heaven, and shortly after his pleading he was. In John 19:30, it is recorded that his last words were : "It is finished." and then he died. Both accounts are accurate, just recorded by two different disciples. Jesus told the Father that his work was finished and that it was time for him to return to heaven in the spirit.

No, He knew why He was born for. It just that in that moment was the only time they were separated. Mark also said after that that He cried with a Loud voice and gave his spirit like in In Luke 23:46. And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. Here He is back with His Father.

It means the man was fully human. The point is that You look at that man and have compassion the point is God came down and walked in our shoes He knows what where gong through so we must have compassion for him and for everyone else the point is compassion for all living creatures. If a person looks at that man on that cross and is not capable of feeling his pain he is devoid of all spirit whether he thinks he is God or not.
this world need to recognize that we are all sacred life is sacred that is the point. In my opinion.

Yes, of course and God definitely saved him and lifted to heavens totally unharmed. God has the absolute powers -no one can challenge. In the case of Jesus, God is to send him back once again, to save humanity from total disorder.

I have wept often thinking of this verse: Being a father of a very sick child while the doctors were doing heart surgery I spent a lot of time chapel, a father seeing his son die - even God - would have to look away at the last moment, but you could believe as I truly do that every angel in heaven was keeping a close watch on his son. It would be easier for someone to tear the heart out of a loving father than to force them to watch their child die!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a fantastic question; here is your answer:

Jesus never called Him "God", He called Him "Father". What Christ was doing was reciting Psalms 22, telling you that prophecy was being fulfilled, that was written of more than 1000 years earlier.
Christ was teaching, even while dying on the Cross.

The reason for Christ coming to the world was to atone for sin because God could not be joined to sin. At the moment Christ took on man's sin the Father departed form him as I said God can not be joined to sin...Christ read all previous scripture and spoke with his Father in prayer and was well aware of his purpose to be here and even said if it be thy will that this cup be taken form me but not my will but your be done. Jesus while in the flesh was subject to the will of the father in heaven as we are taught to have our flesh in submission to our spirit. Jesus took on the sins of man as a man and was resurrected in the Glory of God.

in order for God to purchase our sins and allow the easieness we now have to be saved . it was necassary to walk in our shoes to feel our pain and doupts and have our temtations. Christ had the power to stop what was happening at any time if he truely chose to . at his death he felt all our feelings in truth and the fear of death was one of them and the temptation to end this was upon him . it was part of the price he paid and part of his work to go through the feelings of doupt at deaths door . God was and is proud of his sons work and thats why hes our king and why next time he returns he wont fall victum to the world but other way around .Christ was a man of flesh and blood no different than all of us except in the knoledge of God and faith that he had that no one before or after can have . everything Christ did we all can do with enough faith . God and Christ were one in spirit and God felt his pain and hurt and walkedwith him every step of his life. Christ had many temptations that anyone of us would have jumped at but he resisted . the terrible fear of death and thought of [ why must i die lord ] is a thing we all will feel so Christ being the lamb and walking totally in our shoes had to feel this . God took him seeing that his mission was complete and no more was necassary . time words and men have clouded the truth and put doupt about Christ in our hearts but whats important is that we do what Christ told to do or give it our best for his price he paid and for ourselves and all mankind .
