Alright everybody likes subarus bu tthe new 2.5 engines have problems i cant say the one you are about to buy will have the problem but the head gaskets tend to fail on them quite often when we encounter this problem at my shop we install a 2.2 liter these are great motors. If the subaru youare looking at has the 2.5 in it ask for sevice records and have the cooling system flushed a thermostat replaced if it has more than fifity thousand miles on it because if you overheat the engine its pretty much cooked

In general Subarus are ery reliable. You almost have to crush them to get rid of them.
