It will probably effect your moods, in other words you will have mood swings.
I have had to use prednisone for rashes before too. I usually get mood changes. You need to be aware of this, so that you can watch out so that you don't do any thing stupid.

I have had really happy mood swings where it felt like the whole word was so wonderful and then the next moment felt like a black cloud had rolled over my head. I have felt happy one moment to see some one and then the next moment felt like telling the person to go to h***!

It gets pretty intense but the prednisone works very well to get rid of the rash and since it's only for a few days it's not hard to deal with. Just don't go off of it in the middle of taking the medication, don't stop taking it with out consulting your doctor as it can be dangerous to do.

I've had to use it a few times as I'm highly allergic to a lot of things, including contrast dye, shell fish and so many other things.

This isn't the type of steroid that weight lifters use so you have nothing to worry about there. And you won't be on this long enough to have any lasting effects. You will be all right.

A short dose of prednisone will not have the bad side effects like long term treatment will. You might feel a little hyper or have a slight increase in appetite but otherwise everything will be fine. Just be sure to take the doses as prescribed . Good day!

You may experience some side effects, but it's only a short period of time. I was on prednisone for a rash too and it made me sort of angry for a few days, but it really helped the rash. I was on benedryl too, so I'd just take that to sleep. If you find that you're experiencing side effects even for such a short time frame, that you can't deal with. Talk to your doctor.
