People only run indoors when they are FORCED to do so! All the best running is done outdoors, even in the rain.
Running through country roads is especially good.

I wouldn't say that either one is better, they are just different. I know this might sound strange as most people think that track is track, but it really is like comparing apples and oranges.
I have to disagree with the above statemnet that only people who are forced do indoors, thats not true at all. Indoors is a lot of fun, but it is a long season that can require a lot of travel. In my state it is also hard as most meets are invites that you need to qualify for, so some of the not so good kids ever get the chance to really do much. However there is a much closer feeling, more family like experance indoors. Not only with your team but with other teams as well. It's an experance that you just don't get with outdoors.
Outdoors is great for all the reasons that everyone has been mentioning. The season isn't as long. The meets seem to go by faster, and its just better being outside all the time. But again I'm not sure that I would say that one is better then the other.

If you mean to compete on, then outdoor. Indoor is half the size of the regulation track size. I suppose if you enjoy seeing the same walls twice as many times, then indoor is the way to go. Otherwise, outdoor wins my vote hands down any day- rain or shine!

i would say outdoor
-indoor track meets are like 10 hours while outdoor track meets are more manageable.
-if you live where i do its not sub 30 degrees during outdoor track
-there are dual meets, many of which are against bad schools, so its much easier to win an event
-there is a greater variety of events to do
-people who polevault, longjump, triple jump, or throw actually have a place where they can practice for outdoor, while during the winter everythings covered in snow

definetely outdoor!
indoor is so crowded, hot and stuffy. You cannot breathe when running, you have to run a lot more times around the track than outdoors so its harder to judge your distance and its more boring.

I quite doubt there is an significant distinction. purely issues i will think of of is that an indoor music might in line with danger make you sweat extra? yet you will possibly basically income that weight back from eating water. yet considering which you're try is on an indoor music, i might prepare on an indoor music in case there's a distinction. actuality is: working is working. yet i assume in case you run against the wind on an exterior music, it ought to tire you out slightly. yet working is working. Do the indoor music and get used to the ambience. stable good fortune! i wish you get in.

Outdoor. Turns aren't as tight, fresh air, and your times are faster. Whats not to like unless your on the northern half of the country and its freezing right now.
