No, German is not the best language. Personally, I do not think that it is proper the adjective "best" put before the noun "language", because it sounds not natural and let us not forget that the language itself is a phenomenon..

You cannot decide and say that this or that language is the best. Every language has its speakers and close users to it like translators and literary readers and others who will love it and make it the best for them. You have to LOVE and LIVE the Language to get the whole of it.

No one language is better than another..I think if you want to learn a language I hear German is very hard to learn..I personally prefer the romance languages such as Spanish, Italian and French..they sound very nice too.

my PERSONAL opinion: German sounds like dogs' barking or the sounds that boiling potatoes make...it's very unpleasant, very harsh and just....horrid. Have u ever heard German songs? Theres nothin romantic or breathtaking in them. Its not a language for singing, it's a language for making commands ;)

I love German!
It's an awesome language and is not difficult to learn, if you try. I think it's great when visiting Germany, Austria, even Switzerland!
I think I read somewhere that 1 in 4 Americans have German descent.

personally, I think romanian is cooler.
and spanish and japanese.
german has harsh sounds that are disagreeable to the ear...
