Hi ABJB!
The best acute care for a nose bleed is presssure and cold. Pack the nose with ice cold tissues or ice chips. Try to keep his head elevated. Of course with bad, unrelenting bleeding your best bet is to get right to a 24 hour emergency clinic.

Epistaxis (bleeding nose) can be a serious symptom, or it may be nothing at all. If your dog is older and has any other warning signs of systemic illness you should get a complete work-up at your vet's.

There are many causes of nose bleeds: Allergy, Blood clotting defects (thrombocytopenia), Foreign materials up the nose eg grass awns, High blood pressure (hypertension), nfections - rhinitis, aspergillosis, Parasites, Tooth disease, Trauma, Tumours, Vasculitis.

Fortunately most of the causes of nose bleeds are not serious, but an accurate diagnosis is needed and that might require XRays, blood tests and other diagnostic tests. Please contact your vet!

Nose bleeds in a dog are serious. This dog needs to get to the vet ASAP to find out the cause!!

You don't give much information so...
It could be a sinus infection or an injury or if you allow your dog to hang his head out of the car window while you're driving it may have dried the mucous membranes to the point that they are cracked and bleeding. Have your vet take a peak.

I dont know the reason for this but i suggest that you take her to the vet as she is losing alot of blood. Her nose could be sensitive of a bang of some sort if she has recently hurt herself.
