Believe me ..i've tried to be there time and time again for that one person.. but the attitude and the thing i see from her just doesnt want to try anymore.. I am who I am too, and I do stand up for what I believe is right as well. But its time wasted with this person..i just think someone else out deserves a turn now...

Wrong in my opinion. I will always stand up for someone or any subject that I feel is in the wrong . Even if that person doesnt want someone to stand up for them I will. I am who I am and even though the person doesnt deserve it I will stand up for what I think or what I know is right

Yes, you're right. People who can make it on their own resent someone helping them when they don't ask for it. We believe that implies a need for special treatment. (This is especially true for women.) For example, if a guy and a girl (who knows karate) are out on a date, and someone jumps out of a bush and tries to grab the girl's purse, wouldn't she feel better to kick his a-ss herself, instead of stepping back and letting the guy do it for her?
