Because Stephen Hawking promotes the advance of human knowledge, which threatens the ignorance and superstition upon which Jesus' power rests.

Perhaps all experiences were meant to be appreciated? Perhaps even pain and suffering are a part of God's creation and if no one ever experienced these things then no one would understand that part... God loves for us to experience everything creation has to offer, including pain, humiliation, hate, and grief. Why? Because supposedly God is perfect. Why else would such things happen if not intended by a perfect God?

Professor Hawking, from what I have heard, is not doing verry well lately. I am sorry to hear that his disease is progressing more rapidly than before.

Stephen Hawking is SUPPOSED to be like that. Jesus wouldn't let him be any other way but that which corresponds with the plan of God... so... Jesus WANTS Hawking that way.

The jews prayed to their god to save them while the holocause was going on... christians pray to "god" and "jesus" to heal people ...
the simple fact of the matter is that there is no god... thats why it/he has never once responded to someone prayer.
GOD DOES NOT EXIST.
