I want to put hardwood floors in my downstairs. I already have hardwood about 2.5 inch width in sort of a carmel color in my foyer, but only my foyer. In shopping around I can find samples of hardwood that come close but they are not exact and they are wider then my existing hardwood floor. Do I need an exact match in color and width so the finished product looks good or can you mix and match hardwood flooring?

If you have a transition piece between your foyer and your common area, you can probably get away with it. Good luck!
