I am offended by the entire city of Las Vegas, and I was born there!
Have you driven through there lately???

The Tories and the right wing press have spent years promoting these myths, to create an underclass which can be despised... Certainly, there are some, a miniscule percentage who DO choose to live on benefits with a bit of ducking and diving and petty theft thrown in, but, the majority would far rather work for a living wage.. At the other end of the scale is the much larger proportion of the wealthy who will avoid paying the correct taxes to the state, the creators of such schemes and the banks and accountancy companies which promote and sell them, but as the Tories wish to promote these people as "strivers", very few articles will appear about them.

I am not so much offended, but disenchanted...it figures...i grew up there and trust me what happens in las Vegas which is a majour hole anyway does NOT remain in Vegas....what a crock of shite.

no, they are simply capitalizing on a phrase that has been used for years. There are much more important things on TV and the movies to be offended by than to let a little thing like that bother you.

Did you hear about the pregnant woman in Vegas? Her time to have the baby came and they tried to rush her to the hospital and took a wrong turn, taking her to a casino instead. She gave birth to 2 babies and a lemon.

I don't know about "offended" but I think it definitely qualifies for a spot on the list of "phrases that have overused, beaten to death, and should be buried deep and never uttered again"...
