She has always been a picky eater, but she's been sick alot recently, so she's eaten even less and looks pretty skinny. You can see almost all her ribs now, I'm getting really concerned, but her doctor doesn't seem to think much of it. She's also constantly pale and tired.

there is such thing as a second opinion, and if she seems sickly, then don't question yourself about it, try another doctor.
make sure she's healthy then try some involvement with other kids.
extra activity will drive an appetite and being around other children will help expose her to the things that other kids love to eat. sometimes kids will be more open to new things when mom's not around to fall back on.

daycare/pre-school is not just for working moms and dads, it is a place to learn in and can be a good step for healthy growing.

My 4 year old son is only about 34 or 35 pounds. He is about that height too. He has always been a picky eater too. Here lately he has been eating a little more than he usually does. Maybe your daughter will pick up her eating habits soon. If she seems ok I would not worry. But if you think she is ill maybe find another Dr. Good luck.

She's nearly the same size as my 5 y/o dd (3'5" and 35#). Her size could definitely be normal, but the red flag is you describing her as "pale and tired". That warrants a trip to another doc for a 2nd opinion, IMO. It could just be mild anemia, but you need to know for sure what the cause is, or isn't, before you can do anything about it.

Maybe shes wanting to be a runway model when she grows up. Tall and thin. Really, her size sounds fine, but its the pale and tired thing that would have me more concerned. Have you brought that up with your doctor yet?

relatively, we won't be able to draw the line as to what must be the burden of a 4-year old. Weight and top varies with different little ones, besides as with young ones of different races. additionally, genetics has a place in it. there are a number of variables to be seen. even in the experience that your baby is eating decrease than she ought to for the duration of mealtimes, the final is for her to snack many times. that's how she catches up with the food that her physique needs. Frankly, 4-year olds tend to consume much less in spite of the reality that it relatively is many times relative with different young ones, too. in case you have doubts or are apprehensive approximately your youngster's wellbeing, and in case you think of that she seems vulnerable and has little means while she performs, then bypass forward and seek for suggestion from a pediatrician. a minimum of, talking with a scientific expert will ease down your concerns and could be waiting to assist your baby if she relatively has a difficulty. yet common, as what you're saying, see you later as your youngster is lively and is not any longer exhibiting any warning signs of weak point, she must be superb.

Don't pay attention to the weight...pay attention to the fact that she's pale and tired!

Try Pediasure. It tastes like a milkshake, and has all of the vitamins, minerals, and calories your child needs. My own little skinny man loved it, and it kept him thriving until we discovered what food he was allergic to.

You might want to have her doctor test her for Anemia. My daughter was pale and very tired for awhile and her doctor did a blood test and she turned out to be anemic.

try asking her what food she wants to eat for dinner, breakfast, and lunch.. show her healthy options like a fruit, boiled eggs, and milk/orange juice for breakfast.. fried fish, some good cheese, and juice for lunch.. any healthy food that would interest your daughter.. dnt forget to give her chewy vitamins like flintstones since they look friendly.. also, the most important thing, is you show her that you like to eat healthy foods. you are the best example for good eating.. also try going to beach sometimes for suntanning. it helps with her skin color..make it aroung 8am-9am or until 10am..you gets vitamins from the sun at those times.. hope this helps
