I have been intorducing my JRT to some different foods treats. First she plays and pounces on it which is quite funny and she seems to be having fun. She then wants to give it back to me by dropping it on my lap and whining. She gets obsessed with it and If i take it away she whines and if I give it back to her she just keeps dropping it at my feet and whining?? anyone elses pooch do this? today it was a piece of cheese. Last time a baby carrot!!

You're right, JRT's are weirdos. She loves attention from you and has obviously been highly rewarded by you for playing with food and toys, which is great. It is bizarre that your dog would choose to use food as a toy instead of eating it right away....but nothing to worry about. Have fun with your dog!

my jrt dosent do that but he is full of wierd persinality traits... get used to it lol u will find more but i can see how this would be annoying

dont let her get obsessed with it. it will lead into getting more and more obsessed with other things and you wont be able to stop it. watch the dog whisperer on the national geographic channel, or look it up on his web site.

lol. thats adorable. my dog never does that. she lovesssssss human food. especially CHEESE! she'll cry for it but once she gets it she eats it up then crys for more but never has she played games with it.
