Get a good rifle like a .223 or .22-250 sight it in and snipe them off from a few hundred yards.

I used to shoot them with a .22 LR but this is where the newer .17 calibers come into their own. The .22 Mag. and the .223 through .22-250 are also perfect for long range gopher shooting. You need a good, accurate medium to long range rifle. Any of the above calibers will work well.

I know folks who set up a 223 or similar rifle and shoot from a distance of several hundred yards. I find it more challenging to use an open sighted 22 and shoot from the truck. as I drive slowly in the pasture. I find a Ruger 10-22 or a Remington Gallery rifle to suit my tastes. In most cases, you need permission of the land owner to hunt on private property. Be sure to locate any cattle on the land. My in-laws don't generally care for me wounding the livestock and killing a $1,000 cow makes for an interesting discussion.

Usually works better if you are not constipated. Take a mirror and a shutgun with you while you are in the bathroom. They usually just come right out if you've taken some ex-lax.
