Could be a coil in the line / eht cct. sometimes can be fixed with a blob of hot melt glue but first identify which one is vibrating. On the other hand older people can not hear the whistle so if you wait long enough it will go away ! ( I cant hear the whistle any more ) . Cheers Pete

If it's a high pitched continuous whistle, then the flyback transformer is going bad. You can either get that replaced or probably better yet, just buy a new t.v. You may want to check with the manufacturer of your tv for suggestions. Sometimes they will advise using the cans of "air duster" to help with the problem. It thinks you're cute....he, he couldn't resist. It sounds like you have dust inside the vents of the tv. You can try vacuuming with one of the brush attachments, this should help. A tiny piece of dust can cause annoying high pitched noises, especially when the speakers are amplifying the sound.

Because it is very happy....(Sorry, that question was asking for fun.) Your audio circuitry may be at fault. If it is an older TV, it may not be worth fixing. I would buy a newer one. Especially if it is happening on ALL channels.?? A repair may run you $100 or more.

Take its whistle away and if it still doesn't keep quiet, tape its mouth shut!
