What size dog? Depeding on sizeI am pretty sure that dose in a dog would be ok. (in a large dog) Xanax is given to dogs. Call an emergency vet office and find out for sure though. Yahoo answers is not exactly full of veterinary experts. ADD: I see one can use a computer but not use a computer or the phone to find an emergency vet. Well at least the anxiety can be treated with medication. The lack of brain power, no such luck.

NO.

Xanax is a prescription medicine, and can have bad effects on humans if misused. Dogs are considerably more sensitive to some things than us people.
