We can't tell you what happens to the soul unless we are in the head of the person who died. We have to understand what the person is going through. God is the final judge and He will take in consideration all that the person was dealing with. My sympathy goes out to you and I hope you will continue to go on in spite of your sorrows.

In the Bible (unlike in some churches) the soul is the person, himself. Just like a doctor is the person. If a soul dies, the person is dead which is why the flood is reported to have only spared 8 souls. Obviously he was a troubled young man and it sounds very much like that was the case long before you met him. Rest assured that the Bible hell is simply the common grave of mankind and it will give up it's dead and be destroyed once God's Kingdom government with Jesus Christ as it's heavenly king has taken over the earth. Then, those who have died will be resurrected and have all their wounds (even the emotional ones) healed. Go to God (Psalm 83:18) in prayer and tell him how you feel. Then, let him bear the burden of your sorrow and trust him to help you let go.

Since I did not know him and there are not enough details for me to render such a decision, I will issue no judgment on your question. Suicide is a complex issue and the mind of a suicidal person is difficult to understand. For me to say that a Christian cannot commit suicide would be incorrect because they do. We live in a horrible world filled with more stress and burdens than any one person should ever have to bear, which is why ewe have Christ----he can bear all. I believe that the devil is behind all cases of suicide, that he tells the victims that it is all hopeless and that the only cure is self-destruction. I believe that it is beyond the ability of even the most knowledgeable and most experienced minister to judge the condition of the soul of one who has ended his life by his own hands. God must weigh the soul in the balances. I pray that he is in heaven with our Lord. I pray also for you, that your burden be relieved. Please do not blame yourself for this---there are factors here that are out of your control, factors that involve the spiritual realm. We are constantly engaged in spiritual warfare, a war that is constantly being fought between Christ and Satan. The battle is for the souls of men and women, and for all of Creation. All we con do is trust in Jesus. God bless you and i grieve for your loss. Amen.

The Standard of YHVH is perfection. (He created this world very good). Since man after sin can no longer make himself very good, YHVH sent the Savior YAHOSHUA to save men from their sins. The only way our sins can be dealt with is for us to invite the Savior in to carry our sins. If we choose not to avail ourselves of His provision, then we choose to remain connected to our sins, in which case we will be burned when they are when this world is cleansed by fire before the Almighty makes it new. How could He be more generous? If a person accepts the Savior as Lord of his life, then he will do those things that the Savior told him to do. He told us not to murder. Therefore to do murder it would seem that one must not have the Messiah for a master. (Sometimes it sounds like a hard thing.) I will assure you of this: In going over the books, no one will be able to say that the Almighty could have been more generous. All will admit that He did the most loving thing He could do.

Be comforted by the fact that God will judge righteous judgment, and that:
God will wipe away all tears -Isaiah 25:8 AND Revelation 7:17 AND 21:4.
I am sorry for your loss. They are with God now, and God will do as he has promised above.

I don't believe a person is in their right mind when they commit suicide. Therefore, I don't believe God would condemn them for that. I do believe in Purgatory though so my guess is their soul has to go through some sort of cleansing first. Best you can do is pray for them and ask God to forgive them. Cause they can't pray for themselves anymore.

A person who kills them self is by definition someone who is suffering from a mental or emotional illness. God doesn't condemn people who die because they are sick. I'm sorry to hear about your best friend. I hope that he knew Jesus as his Savior before departing from this world.

Nothing happens to his soul... the soul is an imaginary entity of religous belief - the soul does not exist. It's just the same as with all the other fantastic ideas of god-based belief systems; it's just one in a string of falsehoods and half-truths designed to serve as a stop-gap replacment for explaining things unknown at the time of the writing and as a system of borderless control over a society.
Your ex is dead... and that's all there is to it. Please accept my sympathy for the pain you must be suffering..

While Islam and Catholisism usually teach that suicide is a straight one way ticket to Hell, I am a protestant and believe they go to Heaven if they were a Christian.
