If you use a lot of conditioner chances are you have a build up of hair products. My advice is to go to your local drug store and buy a shampoo that is meant to take all the gunk out of your hair. Then when you do that,go to your hair stylist and get a really good trim. Most hair salons have leave in conditioners that you can mist into your hair and get the occasionally tangle out.
Are you a swimmer ? if you are the chlorine in pools will make your hair awful to work with ( TANGLES)that shampoo is great for that too ..I use it whenever I go into a chlorinated pool in the summer.
Word of advice - DON'T USE THE CLEANSING SHAMPOO ALL THE TIME ! It is a little to strong for daily use.

how are you shampooing it? do you rub your hair between your hands? this causes tangles. you should be scrubbing your scalp and finger combing thru the ends.
are you towel drying your hair after rinsing out the shampoo? oil and water don't mix; so if you put conditioner on wet hair it will do nothing (your money is going down the drain).
try this, and if it doesn't work let me know.
i have all kinds of hints and tips.
most are common sense that most people don't think about.

you may think this is silly but it is good stuff. use tail and mane shampoo for horses. you can get it in the pet section at Wal-mart or other stores. i used it on my daughter when she was little on her long thick hair, made her hair so shiny and silky.. it will not hurt your hair in any way.. helps with tangles or it did her hair anyway.. it's worth a try and it is cheap .. i used it too makes hair soft.

there is one tried and tested formula for tangle free hair~comb it constantly.
this can be very annoying at first but your tangles will gradually decrease. after applying conditioner, use a comb to remove existing tangles, wash off,dry and continue to comb your hair at regular intervals.
hope that helps!
