Lactaid brand milk has a less strong taste and the 100% fat free one is very light.
Could you look into getting your protein and calcium a different way, like through supplements or other foods?

Why are you drinking milk? There is absolutely nothing in milk which is required for your diet. Drink water or juice and you feel much better. Milk can also cause severe bloating, cramps, and diarrhea, not to mention long term health problems.
Humans are the only animal that drinks milk past infancy, and then it's not even from the correct species! Too many people are still trying to defend milk's supposed health benefits. Unfortunately, they are either using old information or information obtained from research funded by the dairy association. How many people would enjoy a glass of dog's milk or rat's milk? What makes cows special?
There are only two reasons which I've found to support humans drinking cow's milk. We have grown up hearing that it's good for us and we've grown accustomed to the taste and texture. There is absolutely no nutrition that can not be obtained elsewhere, minus the negatives. Calcium seems to be the major claim for milk. It can be found elsewhere in green vegetables, almonds, and many other sources. Where do you think the cows obtain the calcium to put into the milk? Where do other larger animals (elephants, horses, deer, whales, etc) get calcium? Why we continue to drink cow's milk laced with growth hormones, antibiotics, and who knows what else is beyond me.
Since I've given up drinking milk about 5 years ago my health has greatly improved. I suffer fewer allergy problems, asthma and breathing problems are greatly reduced, I'm sleeping better, and I have more energy.
In the '50s smoking was considered harmless but now we realize its dangers. One person at a time and eventually the truth will become widely known that cow's milk is only for baby cows. Milk is indeed the perfect food, but only for infants of the proper species.
Do some research online and decide for yourself.

Of course every body is supposed to drink milk, not as a compulsion but it should be done voluntarily. Milk is a nutritious secretion rich in protein, fat, lactose and minerals especially calcium and phosphorous. The recommended daily allowance per adult is 280 g of milk. If you dislike drinking plain milk, you can go in for some value added drinks like flavored milk, condensed milk apart from the salivating ice cream. Not only milk but also the dairy products are equally good or to say they are superior in their nutritional composition. So never develop taste against milk and always vote for milk. That's all

I don't like plain milk either. Try substituting another dairy product for the milk. Cheese, yoghurt, lowfat ice cream, etc.
I don't think you should force yourself to drink something that you can't stand. And finding a substitution would be no different than drinking the glass of milk. Same outcome.

join the club. I absolutely hate the taste of milk, fresh, cold, hot, powder, whatever and I haven't drunk a cup for years since my mom last forced me to. instead now she gets me to take calcium tablets. you could try soya bean milk which tastes quite good actually. or chocolate milk.. but since you don't allow for other flavourings.... you shouldn't force yourself to drink something you dislike so much. why torture yourself?

I recently stopped drinking milk because it just grossed me out. You can get plenty of calcium from other sources. For example 1 cup 1% milk has 110 calories and 30% daily value for calcium, but 1 cup fat-free yogurt has 110 calories and 40% DV.
Alternatives to milk include:
-low-fat/fat-free yogurt (try it with granola, cereal, nuts or fruit mixed in)
-spinach & other leafy greens
-reduced fat cheese (try it melted in a sandwich w/ whole grain bread)
-low fat cottage cheese (try it as a dip for veggies or in a salad)
-also many foods, such as cereal, are fortified with calcium

Try it icy cold.
Or, break down and allow yourself a bit of flavoring.
Or, eat more yogurt and other milk products - the whole idea is to get enough calcium, right?

Don't just stay there! Do squats while combing your teeth, calf raises while standing in line, or lunges while chatting within the phone.
