It's okay.

The average 14 year old that has played golf for a while would be somewhere around 18-20.

Just keep playing and practicing (read: putting is essential) watch your handicap drop.

It is alright for a starter. The lower the handicap the better golfer rating he will have. Scratch handicap is the best in handicap.

It's really good if your sandbagging in a tournement.

Keep trying though, it'll improve.

This old golfer at a course gave me the best advice. If you want to shoot a 90, just shoot a 5 on every hole. I makes the par 3s easy, gives some room on par 4s and makes par 5s a challenge.

40 is the maximum handicap you can have...so 34 is a decent start is your just beginning....hand in 20 rounds, and it will average your best rounds....then you will have your true handicap.

I'm a 10 handicap....my Husband is a 4, we watch our handicaps closely....

everything starts somewhere, continue to play...get some instruction and I guarantee you will shave a third of that off by the end of the year, dont get overwhelmed when you hit a few bad shots...and remember the only shot that matters is the one in front of you...good luck, and putt well!

Not bad for a young golfer. The average Joe shoots about a 100 so your getting there.
