It cost Saudi Arabia $2 to produce a barrell of oil and Iran $20 to produce the same barrell of oil. If oil prices continue to fall what will happen to Iran. The royal family in Saudi Arabia is a strong ally of the U.S. as is the UAE and Kuait. Shouldn't we use our influence these countries more to help eliminate the threat they have of an extremist Iran?

Koala you are obviously a far left Liberal that cannot concede to anything positive that comes from anyone with a differining political stance.
plain and simple with that attitude you simply make yourself inconsequential and you delete any contribution you may have to offer. You will never be United with America. United We Stand and your ilk will be left out in the cold and viewed as enemies.

Mark you make a valid point yet your interpretation of Iran being a moderate government in 2000 couldn't be further from the truth. Amhad Chalabi as Maliki are by no means extremist just as in Iran there is a Moderste faction though they do not hold the power now or in 2000.
The Iranian people spoke in their last election and voted out most of Achmendinijads chronies in local government.

For years the US strategy against Iran has been diplomatic and economic. The media has not been commenting on this because 1) they would have to talk about President Bush doing something right and 2) war scares produce better ratings.

It's true that the primary weapon the U.S. is using against Iran now is economic. This primarily includes sanctions and denial of credit. Iran is being starved of capital it needs to expand its petroleum and other industries.
But don't forget that we created the conditions in Iraq which allowed Iranian influence in the country. Saddam Hussein, a Sunni, hated Iran. Bush and the CIA recruited Shiites with strong Iranian ties like Ahmad Chalabi to run the interim Iraqi government.
And Iran was greatly incensed by being included in the "axis of evil" and the threat against them was clarified when we invaded Iraq. Recall that Iran was making overtures for expanded diplomatic and economic relations with the U.S. in 2001 - back when they had a moderate government.
Saudi Arabia and UAE may outwardly pretend to be U.S. allies, but per the report of the 9/11 commission, they along with Pakistan were the greatest national supporters of Al Qaeda. Saudi Arabia continues to be the primary supporter of Hamas and - drumroll - of Sunni militias in Iraq fighting the U.S.

through fact that's the business enterprise, stupid. (And besides Clinton wasn't certainly impeached, purely confronted extremely some extraordinary wing press {is there the different form of press} complaint). The business enterprise protects that's own. it relatively is why that's the business enterprise. There are a minimum of two U.S. Presidents (and U.ok. best ministers) who, in any purely international, would be indicted earlier the international criminal courtroom for conflict Crimes and/or Crimes against Humanity. yet, hi, it ain't going to take place, through fact they're the business enterprise.

Extremist regimes are ones who oppress their citizens and others-not only those who are not friends of the US. Iran is NOT more extremist then Saudi Arabia.

No he is bankrupting the USA. The best thing to ever happen to Iran was the downfall of Sadam Hussein, Iran's arch-enemy. I predict they will build monuments to George W. in Tehran one day.

right on for the details. Yes, Bush's whole agenda is to create a dynasty that lifts him above God. He is out to bankrupt the world and put the money in his own pocket. Soon you will see statues of him and we will have a law that forces us to worship him as the savior of the world
