it's the catchfrase for the bird in the coco puffs comertial, coocoo being another word for crazy, and when the bird eats them he goes crazy with happyness

Originally this is in reference to the cartoon caracter on the cover of the cereal box Coco Puffs Sonny the Cuckoo Bird. At the end of the commercial he would say" I am Cucoo for Coco Puffs. However some people might say this when they think someone is plain crazy. hope this helps

I'm Cucoo for cocoa puffs!!!!!!! Cucoo= crazy. Cocoa puffs= General Mills cold cereal. The bird is a kookoo bird that goes crazy for his cocoa puffs because he is addicted to them and can't get enough....

actually its coo coo. as in coo coo clock. hence the goofy bird in the commercial. coo coo is a slang term for being crazy or nutty.
