A Muslim , is a Muslim, first, & a Muslim last.
He is never a Chinese, American or an Englishman.
Except for the Global Muslim brotherhood , they never respect or follow anything else. That is why , they ( e. g. Ellison, US. ) wont take an oath on The Bible, but only on the Koran. Let the nonMuslims note such hazardous characteristics before allowing any more Muslims in their country, business or House.

Holy book says all animals including pigs or boars are created by God, so there is no problem celebrating pig's year every 12 years. It's just that middle east people interpreted the rules wrongly at that time. When prophet mohamad started this religion, pigs were the cause of swine fever that killed thousands of fellow humans in the region. It was then thought a good idea to have a rule not to touch these animals, let alone slaughter them for food. And this unfortunately become a religious rule. The same thing applies to dogs too. What a pity.

No. Do not mixed culture and religion. Year of a Pig is the belief of Non Muslim Chinese. However, Muslims Chinese has to follow the Muslims culture and values. Otherwise, the Muslims Chinese will encounter their Faith in Islam misleading. Islam do not belief the animation year as in Chinese tradition. As such, refrain from practising such culture.

Chinese muslims do celebrate chinese new yr...ive got chinese christians n muslim frens who celebrate chinese new yr...pig is da zodiac symbol...there is no must to eat pork...besides chinese new year is not a religious festival...its a racial festival where all 'chinese' regardless of their religions can celebrate...jus like how da whole world celebrates the new yr on jan 1st...

Hello frnd u have been mistaken... Muslims dont celebrate any new year except theirs regarding chinese muslims they are the same muslims like other muslims in the world u must have seen that many muslims dont celebrate this new year also which comes on 1st jan....bcoz we dont imitate non muslims and we wont ...... so remove that thought that how chinese muslim will celebrate pigs new year.....

It is wrong that Chinese muslims celebrate, the new year of pig..thats completely wrong. Muslims even not celebrate their starting calender i.e. moharram...because of the great tragedy happened in the month of moharram.

I've also wondered that. Maybe muslims don't have sex during the year of the pig to avoid having children in that year.
