I sleep like this and it doesn't seem to affect me. If you are the weight of an elephant perhaps sleeping in a water-tank is a better idea.

Not speciffically but if you are sore .. Muscles can have knots (trigger points) that make them tight which in turn put pressure on nerves and other things.
Molasses - a couple of swigs or Bananas 1 or 2 - both contain magnesium and potassium for muscles.
Try working with the principles taught in The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.
I use a chiropractor and massage therapist with it

its not ur ribs it sounds like you have the same problem as me i sleep on my side also and i went to alot of ers and doctors and finally after 9 thousand dollars wasted i come to find out i have a torn flank . what u need to do is not lift not ofer 5 pounds for 5 to 6 weeks and go to a walgreens and get a abdomanal supporter ( they only cost 26.00 and wear it all day for 6 weeks with a heating pad at nite. the pain will worsen if you dont take attention to it. it took them alomst 2 years to figure out was wrong with me and it was due to heavy lifting and twisting motion combination so dont lift nothing heavy , take some asprin and get a heating pad and a supporter

Extremely NO.Sleeping on your side does not hurt your ribs.I sleep that way and it does not affect me.It does not compress your ribs, your ribs are classified in bones, which are classified in solids. There is no pain coming in.It is supported by muscles.

absolutly not, the only thing about sleepingon your side, be sure to put a pillow between your knees to keep yous spin in alignment, after a while of sleeping on your side when your legs aren't supported you'll begin to feel lower back pain this is because your spine is not lined up with it's self, it's drooping at the bottom neer your butt, so pillow, and you're good to go

I sleep on my side all the time and have yet to see anything come of it. About the only risk I see is that of maybe throwing your hips out of alignment, and there are pillows you can use to prevent that.
