I have an invlaid copy of Windows XP PRO. If i install a new copy will it keep all of my previous info and programs? I'm hoping it will. Please help.

it defend on how you will install the genuine copy of windows. if you will format and install the genuine copy or you choose to make a fresh copy it will erase every thing, you just need to save your data/file to other hard drive or to any removable disc such as cd or dvdr for later retrieval. f you will just install the genuine copy in top of the invalid one better to save also your data/files for pre-cautionary measures.

If your current invalid windows xp have no problem or it is good as the genuine copy only that it have an invalid cdkey/product key.
you can just change the cdkey to make it genuine without reinstalling the windows. by using product update tool go here http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/selfhelp/pkuinstructions.aspx for the software and more instruction.

If the invalid copy is okay except for the license key, you should be able to just use the valid license key from the new copy.

on upgrade..no..on new install yes but you lose your old files
