when dreaming though the dream is illusion it appears to be real if asked the same question would it be truth for you say that the dream universe and all the characters within it really exist or would you say the reality is that only the self exists

A dream is real just when you are dreaming, but does not exist before you go to sleep and after you wake up.
Similarly, this material bodies are real while we are alive, but they are like dream, they didn't exist before you were born and will not exist after you die.
Wait!!! If there is a dream, it must be a dreamer. The truth and reality is some place else. Find it!!!. I already did.

The only truth in reality is that you can't do it by yourself. Self is all about what's best for me, and not about others. A stingy way to live.

Not sure what you mean by "self existence." If you mean awareness of self, I would answer by asking:
When you drive to work, do the traffic lights and the other cars exist, or are you the only one on the road?
Obviously not.

Are you asking that we can only believe what we see, hear, touch, taste, and feel? How were these senses created? What were they created for? Why were they created? Who created them? I didn't mean to answer your question with other questions. I just wanted to get you to think outside of the box!

No god ever has directly spoken to any one ever. So yes it is you that has to lead a good life and be nice to your fellow human being.
