I live in Yorkshire (that's England, by the way) and would like to go camping with my bf and my 2 dogs at whit. We don't have any particular destination in mind and are happy to drive for a few hours if necessary to get to somewhere worthwhile. We want somewhere with a bit of peace and quiet where our (well behaved) rottweiller cross and newfoundland will be welcome. We like nature and history/culture. We haven't camped since we were kids so suggestions would be very welcome.
Thanks!

If you don't mind driving down south to The New Forest, then I can thoroughly recommend 'The Red Shoot'. It is a 'gastro' pub with a campsite attached. It is in the heart of the New Forest near Fordingbridge and Ringwood. The food is excellent, Steak and Ale Pie, Stuffed Mushrooms, Steaks etc. Dogs are allowed to sit at the dining table and there is a playpark for the kids. There is so much to see in the New Forest, not least of which are the Ponies and Deer. A lovely, lovely place.

Anywhere around Bamburgh in Northumbria. The beaches are excellent (and handy for the dog), the area is lovely and it isn't all that far from Yorkshire.

This place is good:

But so is:

It's a lovely area. Anyway, wherever you go, have a great holiday!
