Gen 2:7 " Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living soul."
This does not say that the man was given a soul but that he became a living soul.

Soul is the completed you.
The spirit however is that part of you that animates the flesh. It is the difference between life and death. It is the part of you that is designed to be plugged into your creator.

all good questions..i don't really know but i will bring this up in Sunday School..you have given me an idea as I never know what to ask when the Minister asks if we had any questions..I don't think i have ever read in the Bible the answers to your question.

your soul is just a belief, its a bit like asking where does god live.
I believe we have a soul but I think it's just a spiritual thing in our heart and mind, we can't see it, feel it or touch it but if we believe it's there, it is.
