Provided you have put a post code on the letter you should be ok. The post code will ensure the letter is sorted into the correct street or road. Then when the postman sorts the letters before delivery he should be able to match the surname with other mail meant for the same person.

That would depend.

There are193 million wrongly addressed letters each year and a great many probably just 'disappear.'

But, if you put a postcode on, it is possible the letter may still get there. I've received letters without a road number on several times - maybe cos our postman is great!

If your letter included your address inside, it may be returned to you, as some posties will open and then return wrongly addressed letters too.

Good luck!

** If the postal order is 'crossed' it can't be cashed by anyone except the named person, so you bshouldn't loose out. If you hear nothing in a couple of weeks, go see your local post office and they will try and trace it for you.

How does a reverse phone lookup work?
It is a caller ID application that covers landline numbers, cell phones, and business lines in the United States. The way it works is simple:

There are many reasons why you might want to conduct a reverse phone search:

+ Find out the source of a harassing ("prank") caller
+ Research a number that appeared on your phone bill
+ Locate an old friend from high school or college
+ Research "missed calls" on your caller ID that you don't recognize
+ Verify an address
+ And more...

A postcode is unique to one road, or even a part of a road if it's a long road. There are 40 houses in my road and 2 different postcodes.
So if you've put the post code on, there's a good chance the sorting office will be able to find out who it's for from the surname.

Julie's answer (above) is spot on. If you have your return addy on it, it ought to come back to you in fairly short order, no more than another week I would think.
As Sassy mentioned off top, there is a possiblity, however, that the business is well enough known that the postal person delivering it will simply shake his or her head and deliver as though it were complete.
That is the best to hope for, of course.

reverse phone number search compiles hundreds of millions of phone book records to help locate the owner's name, location, time zone, email and other public information.

Use a reverse phone lookup to:
Get the identity of an unknown caller.
Identify an area code.
Recall the name of a person whose number you wrote down.
Identify an unfamiliar phone number that shows up on your bill.

If you put the post code on the letter correctly, that will tell them the town and road.
If you also added the name, they will probably be able to get the correct house from that, so you should be ok as long as there are not hundreds of houses in the road.
