I tried burning a film file to dvd-r useing nero only to be faced with my hard drive running out of space.Is there any other burning software that I can use that allows me to burn straight from the film file without it having to use a temp write path

try quickcopy on nero..i think you used the wrong channel.

You can burn withiout taking up much space only if you have two drives: one for sourse and one for burning. Insert dvd/cd you vant to burn in one player, and insert emty disc into burner. Go to nero. Click copy disc and set to copy without copiing( i think it is a quick copy option) and countinue with burning. If \sourse disc is damaged or unreadable, you will destroy emty cd.
