If he had a genuine death bed conversion, we will see him in heaven. There are those who say the story of a death bed conversion was concocted and never happened.
Only God knows, and He will reward Charles Darwin, if He really did have a death bed conversion.

The truth of the matter is that Darwin did not repent on his deathbed.
The evidence shows that the story is not true. Lady Hope was not present at the deathbed of Darwin. The multiple independent accounts of his death, written by those who were there, make no mention of it. His children who were there at his death wrote articles and letters that specifically refuted the recantation and conversion story. Lady Hope did show such detailed knowledge of Darwin's home and estate that she must have visited Darwin at some time late in his life, though not at his deathbed. Darwin himself was disturbed with the misuses "Social Darwinism" made of his theories. He thought that Christianity was good for common people, though not for himself and other educated men.

I would like to first tell you that Darwin never actually accepted his own theory. A few years after he put forth his theory he had pretty much given up on it and tried to tell people it was false.
And he did serve Christ until 1851 when he became agnostic. That said I don't believe that repentance immediately before death is good enough.

Maybe you don't know who Jesus really is,I had 3 abortions when I was young and a heathen, killed 3 souls, murder to me now and it is legal and it took a long time for God to get it into my heart that I was forgiven by accepting Jesus.
I learned it isn't what the sin is it is that the sin was in the world through Adam and that is what Jesus took away.
Once we accept Jesus any sin we have committed was from sin being in the world,it is forgiven.
I read a testimony from one of Darwin's maids that told that he cried out from his deathbed when God showed him what he had done in cursing the world but I don't remember anything about him being saved and that is between him and God.

same as the thief on the cross. Jesus told him that today thou shalt be with me in paradise. even though he lived a life of sin , jesus would not have told him that, unless it was true. now neither one of these men earned any rewards, because they did nothing to further the kingdom.salvation is free, to all those who believe. we do not work our way into heaven ,it is a free gift. but as we live we work to earn the crowns that we will cast at the feet of Jesus when we honor Him in heaven.

If Darwin accepted Jesus and believed he died on the cross for his sins, truly, he will go to heaven.

Jesus accepted the thief on the cross and he had been a criminal all of his life.
Luke 23:43 Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."

None of us deserve heaven, but God does not want us to go to hell. So yeah, if the repentance was real. You can't fool God.
