I would use it starting in the morning before you leave, put three to four drops on the cat's fur several times. Make a small spray bottle with half a dropperful and some filtered water. Spray the CARRIER (not the cat) before you put the cat in. Take the spray bottle with you for the return trip or mix up another one before you leave. You can also spray the area where the cat is put when you arrive. If the cat hides under a bed or something you can put three or four drops on a small cloth and put it where the cat is resting. Refresh the drops three or four times a day.

Put the drops on the cat as you travel if it seems restless or unhappy and of course, as someone stated, be sure the cat cannot escape from its carrier.

Always shake the bottle well before applying the drops of RR. That's important to activate the essences. The RR cannot harm the cat in any way so overdosing is never an issue.

Don Hamilton, DVM says that Magnesium phosphate is "often inndicated when there are spasms and cramping" so I don't know if it is useful for stress.

I asked my vet this question because we had to move.

They gave me a pet's med's of Valium for sleep. Well, my cat just cried the whole way and when we arrived she was drunk for over a day. She couldn't walk and was very unhappy.

I only gave her 1/2 the dosage they recommended, so beware. Not that this happens to every cat, but it made our trip unbearable because she was so stressed.

The next time we moved I gave her nothing and she was just great.

So to be safe I would get the rescue remedy. I have tried it before and it's safe and no side effects.

The beauty of Homeopathic medication is that you can’t OD on them.
If you take too much, they just stop working.

I’d try 2 drops every half hour for a few hours before you get on the bus. If that doesn’t seem to settle him/her, then try 4 drops.

MagPhos is great to prevent stress in cats as well, but make sure you get it n liquid rather than tissue salt tablets, because animals have the uncanny ability to spit tissue salt tablets out.

Good luck :-)

I'd say about 4 drops every hour. my cat isn't really all that bothered but it would be sensible to keep the cat happy they dont like being in a cat box for long!!!
