I have successfully tried lotion that contains tea tree oil for skin allergies. Look for a lotion that also contains vitamin e, a, aloe, oatmeal. Aveena works well.

I stuggled for years with dermatitis which is skins reaction to external causes i.e. soap, perfume,detergents,plants, cleaners(even know one person who gets a reaction to wallpaper paste!)Best approach is to know what causes a reacton then avoid it or find alternative hypo-allergenic products.if it's not possible to avoid then before you have to have contact with it take a low dose antihistamine, there are plenty of them on the market, your pharmacist will tell which ones don't make you drowsy. If you come into contact with the substance and know a reaction will be coming on then take the antihistamine straight away and get some aqueous cream on the area affected to help lessen the severity of any attack and quicken healing, again your pharmacist will tell you the best cream for your needs i.e. for face,body,hands,scalp etc.

allergies are caused by a lot of things. but inside the body, the inflammatory reaction is caused by the increase of histamine. allergies are usually relieved by anti-histamines. but take note, most anti-histamines can cause drowsiness.
