I just checked B&H, Adorama, and Ritz. No one is selling a new Nikon D70s! Has Nikon discontinued it for the D80?

Its not really new. I've had one for two years but the D80 is far better. I suggest you get the D80.

It is listed still at one of the UKs leading on-line camera stores (www.warehouseexpress.co.uk) but appears to be heavily discounted. The D80 really supersedes it. All digital cameras have a very limited shelf life as the manufacturers are constantly 'improving' them in order to prise hard earned money from those who absolutely must have the most up-to-date piece of male jewellery.

if you find a reconditioned one
that is even better
all of the bugs will be out of it
