PROBABLY not. Can you sneak back into Texas and pretend you never left, or did you miss appointments? Being on probation is like being in jail but they don't lock you up. If you run, you're an escapee. You ran. I'd have to say you have two choices: return and face the music, or never ever go back to Texas. The second one is chancy though, because states share more and more information every day.

Unless the felony is a capitol offense (crime that would result in life in prison or the death penalty) the MN authorities will probably not actively come looking for him. However, if he is stopped for any reason by a FL law enforcement officer, the officer will check for "Wants and Warrants) at the FBI maintained National Crime Information Center (NCIC). National Crime Information Center which is a computerized index of criminal justice information (i.e.- criminal record history information, fugitives, stolen properties, missing persons). It is available to Federal, state, and local law enforcement and other criminal justice agencies and is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Your brother's name will pop up and the MN authorities will be notified. Whar MN will do is up to them. There is also the possibility if your brother bonded out of jail, the Bail Bond company is going to have a real interest in returning him to MN.

when you went to court... the judge said he would suspend part of your sentence (all of the jail time) as long as your a good citizen. That sentence is going to come back, and you will have to serve that jail time now! My guess is about 3 months, have fun in Australia, hope it was worth it!

you will have a warrent out for your arrest. Thats why cops "call in" you license when they pull you over, to see if they have any warrents out!
