My view of why is because people don't or won't look past their own personal wants and desires. It exemplifies the 'ME' generation (it's all about ME approach to life).
If the only scope of view that a person has is meeting their own personal wants and desires, fulfillment of sexual wants and desires is most def. going to be part of such.
It is a sad commentary of those that can't look past their own desires and see a much larger picture and the consequences of such an approach to life. It is no wonder that we have so many sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted children today because of such a mindset in today's world.

Sometimes people don't want sacred sex they want low down dirty sex or just uncomplicated nice fun sex, not everyone wants to think of Jesus when they are in the middle of sex, I certainly don't want to, do you?
Condoms are a better protection against std's than marriage even, if all people were truly monogamous in marriage (an unrealistic ideal) it would work but the reality is not all of them are and people get std's from their spouse often.
Condoms are a better protection against unwanted pregnancies than marriage, I fail to see how marriage can prevent unwanted pregnancies at all...that is just nonsense.
Divorce is best when two people cannot get along any more.

In a perfect world all things would be as we decide morally right, there is an irish belief in the land of Tir na Nog where there is no sorrow and no pain, but think of this without sorrow there is no joy just a place of stasis and that is a pity for everyone.

I don't & never will
they are low life people who can't be trusted
liars & cheaters
fair enough some people do make mistakes & I'm being a bit tough but I really was refering to the ones who do it over & over & don't care about all the pain they cause
but still really there is no excuse to ever do it if they have good morals

People are animals. Marriage is a cultural idea, and crosses the genetic drive to procreate. Also, not everyone has religious beliefs that marriage is sacred. Let alone that not eveyone is religious.

Well for Queers living outside of Mass. state, we can't even legally marry. Therefore for us all sex is "outside of marriage." It's a sort of self fulfilling prophecy created by right wing religious zealots. Gays are promiscuous and to make sure they stay that way, we need to ensure they are exempt from the institution of marriage which may promote monogamous intimacy.
Of course, there's a fair amount of evidence to support the theory that, biologically, humans aren't best suited as purely monogamous which would explain why 60-70% of the married couples have one or both partners who have had sexual experiences outside of their marriage.

Remember this is not our home. Satan tempts , the Bible says that Satan goes over the earth to and fro seeking who he may devour. He has one mission and that is to kill , steal and destroy, this is God's creation. So, some people have trouble staying away from sex and they suffer the problems that go with it. In a perfect world everyone would know Gods rules and obey them, but this is not a perfect world.

I agree with you -- though there was a time in my life where I didn't see it that way.
I had a baby when I was 17 years old (I'm 42 now) ... I wouldn't call her "unwanted," though, because a great family did want her and adopted her.

Because I'd want to know that the person I'm gonna marry is good in bed. The idea of spending the rest of my life with someone who just lays there is abhorrant.
