The SC-HT545W offers rear wireless convenience. Audio signals are transmitted between the main unit and surround speakers by radio waves, so theres no need for cables. This is especially convenient in a room with hardwood floors, for example, where there is no good way to hide cables. The wireless unit can be placed out of sight behind a sofa and hidden without a problem, and theres no sound interruption when people pass between the main and wireless units, as the 2.4-GHz wireless system combines Advanced Adaptive Frequency Selection using a bi-lateral authentication system, to minimize interference. The SC-HT545W which is classed as a wireless home cinema system is really more of semi-wireless offering. It uses RF technology to transmit audio wirelessly to the rear surround speakers only. All models come with a port for hooking up digital music players.

I have a Panasonic 800 watt surround sound system & I have had people tell me they thought it was one of those high end ones. Mine is not wireless, but, in my humble opinion, if it's Panasonic, it's good. I have used Panasonic electronics for a long time & I couldn't be happier with it all. That's my opinion anyway. Good luck.
