Hey everyone. Well, once again I've managed to fail terribly in a relationship. This time the girl says she's not ready for a relationship and has made it a good friendship but it's not going to well. It's been a week and she still feels awkward and won't walk to me and when I text her (and I haven't done it often) she doesn't reply. How long am I supposed to stay away from her for before this damn friendship thing ACTUALLY becomes a friendship?

Oh and she still likes me, it's just she's off to Uni and isn't ready for a relationship.

Well Dale my best guess is to wait about 2 weeks. Call her in the beginning of the week, just to see how she is doing. Like friends would, then let it go. Once you stop calling and start acting a little less interested in her, she will come around. Then it will be her that is calling you.

Once while working as a vicar/doctor at the convent(best job I ever had shame it only lasted the hour) I had to sort out all sorts of relationship problems to deal with.So I know I can help.When a girlie just wants to be your friend, what she is really saying is stay away from me you sad man.The best way to get that girl is to say you have lots of money, take her some where nice and expensive, get her very very drunk.Tell her your wallet is at home and you will refund her in the morning.Go back to her place play hide the sausage (now this is the imporant bit leave before she wakes up) or what ever, this makes for the perfect relationship in my book

If she is worth it give her space, if you truly just value her friendship and she you, then don't worry just leave it but be sure that that is what you really want, She has made up her mind to be just friends you must accept and move on
