What makes you think there are no more miracles?

There are miracles, even nowadays.

For instance, the wellsprings at Lourdes continue to heal people whose medical conditions were deemed hopeless by medical standards.

Lourdes even has a medical board to confirm these miraculous healings -- and the board often includes doctors who are atheists.

I disagree! Ask and you will recieve. What is it that you'd like to see?

And, i would suggest to go to a country were there isn't much of a church yet; or where the church is building rapidly but is still in the first century. I don't know why but there seem to be many more miracles than in places where the church is more established.

On the other hand, any time a person repents of sin and turns to Jesus is a miracle, of the biggest kind.

Best wishes...

PS waiting for that miracle from a dear friend right now...forgive me Lord, but I'm impatient. Wake my friend up from the dead NOW, please! Eph. 5:13

When God performed amazing and powerful miracles for the Israelites, did that cause them to obey Him? No, the Israelites constantly disobeyed and rebelled against God even though they saw all the miracles. The same people who saw God part the Red Sea later doubted whether God was able to conquer the inhabitants of the Promised Land. Read the account in Luke 16:19-31. In the story, a man in hell asks Abraham to send Lazarus back from the dead to warn his brothers. Abraham informed the man, “If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead” (Luke 16:31).

Jesus performed countless miracles, yet the vast majority of people did not believe in Him. If God performed miracles today like He did in the past, the same result would occur. People would be amazed and would believe in God for a short time. That faith would be shallow and would disappear the moment something unexpected or frightening occurred. A faith based on miracles is not a mature faith. God performed the greatest miracle of all time in coming to earth in the Man Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins (Romans 5:8), so that we could be saved (John 3:16). God does still perform miracles - many of them simply go unnoticed or are denied. However, we do not need more miracles. What we need is to believe in the miracle of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
hings that mark an apostle — signs, wonders and miracles — were done among you with great perseverance” (2 Corinthians 12:12). Speaking of the Gospel, Hebrews 2:4 proclaims, “God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to His will.” We now have the truth of Jesus recorded in Scripture. We now have the writings of the Apostles recorded in Scripture. Jesus and His apostles, as recorded in Scripture, are the cornerstone and foundation of our faith (Ephesians 2:20). In this sense, miracles are no longer necessary, as the message of Jesus and His apostles has already been attested to, and accurately recorded in the Scriptures. Yes, God still performs miracles. At the same time, we should not necessarily expect miracles to occur today just as they did as recorded in the Bible.

Miracles are still happening all the time. I feel that because they are a regular occurrance, no one bothers to talk about them anymore. Religion is not believed as strongly as it used to be, which is a shame. If you go to mass, you witness the miracle of the bread turning into the body of Christ and this is called transubstantiation.

Jesus and his apostles did miracles to jump-start Christianity. I Cor. 13 says that the miracles would cease. Yes, there really are miracles today contingent on your definition. I don't believe anyone's been brought back from the dead but there have been healings. Would you believe it if you saw one? God does not do magic tricks for our amusement and speculation.

Things that we call 'miracles' that happened in the past are nothing but myths, legends, tall tales.

It's really easy to say that all kinds of miracles happened 2,000 years ago. No photographs. No original texts. (And, for the record, we have no copies of the copies of the copies of the copies of the copies of the original texts)

My take: miracles, the kind you wish to see, never did happen.

Go see an entertaining movie with lots of special effects. This is probably as close to a 'miracle' as you will see.

Somewhere in a quiet little corner of the world God is working a miracle.
Everyday a child is born.
We do not look for signs if you do you would have to be a fan of Benny Hinn and miracles happen when God decides not when man decides.

As Jesus said an evil perverse generation asks for a sign. The only sign they will get is the sign of Jonah.(He was swollowed by a whale) God does perform miracles. When Russia and Iran and the Arab nations goes and attacks Israel that was propheccied about 2,500 years ago God will supernaturally defend his country, and the whole world will tremble at his presence.. Israels enemys will be defeated and it will take 7 months to bury the dead and 7 years fore Israel to burn their weapons as fuel. If you are still alive when that happens you will see a huge miracle of God, and you will trembel like you have never tremebled before. I am looking forward to going home to Jesus and his Father..They are gergous. Have you given your life to Jesus? I skoke to this pastor a few months back and the lady who goes to his church told me she had cancer and had 2 months to live. The church prayed to Jesus for her healing, and guess what there was no trace of cancer when she went back to her doctors, and that was over 10 years ago. She has been healed by Jesus. Jesus still perform miracles today. I have heard about limbs growing in front of people when they prayed to Jesus. God still performs many miracles today. Many more people are getting saved. Israel became a nation again in 1948, by the hand of God. Have you asked God to help you get to know him?
