No. It'll only take a few empty cars to muck up the highways, and a lot fewer people are going to be enraptured than they think. They will be sufficiently upset to be poor drivers for quite a while, (amongst other things).

Rapture, smapture... Why not just make the evil people two feet tall?

NO it will get worse. Ever read THE STAND by stephen king? all the cars wrecked all over the streets. Endless freeways of motionless vehicles always in teh way. and if you're driving you cannot get by them.

So I hope the rapture occurs while I'm on a bike

There will be no rapture, it's not in the bible as such and there are no implications towards a rapture.

But... during the end times there'll be earthquakes and various other catastrophes which undoubtedly ruin a couple of roads...

When Jesus comes back for his church the traffic will be horrific around the world, it will probablly kill so many people becasue of the accidents in cars, buses, plains . It is going to be hell. You better make sure then if you are on the road, before it happens you better make sure that you are saved otherwise you are going to be in trouble.
