There are a number of mortgage companies who have programs for those with poor credit. You may want to check with a mortgage broker in your area. They will pull your credit report and help package the loan. They will then shop the loan to those most likely to make the loan. I have heard of those getting a loan with a credit score less than 600.

Yes, there are some but you will pay a higher interest rate than people with better credit pay. Your real estate agent probably has a whole list of them.
