Arpana, If you want to Improve your English than start reading English new paper like Afternoon, Mid-day etc.
Try to speak with your friends and family member and ask them to correct you when they find your mistake. Learn from your mistake. If you are living in Bombay than visit British Council, Mittal chamber B, Nariman Point, Bombay. They are conducting English speaking course. Hope it will help you.

Start by capitalization of the word English.

I'd suggest getting some books from Amazon or Barnes and Noble.

No need to go to institute. You need to make a good friend who can speak english with you. as u know practice makes perfect. By talking/chating with him/her you can improve your writing/spoken skills.

well, it is fact th at our english is poor but it is not that poor .. at world economy japan was /is doing good inspite of lack of english. well otherside, we are giving tough time to china becuase we know better english than chinees for the world of trade. so dont worry enjoy..

i suggest that reading novels or any reading materials may help you improve your english...even candy wrappers will do.just keep on reading...
