It is commendable that you want to share your hair with children who have cancer. A better idea would be to grow it to an acceptable length for cutting and then you could have a cute short haircut. It is not necessary to shave your hair. You could continue to grow out and then cut for as long as you wished. Talk to a beautician who knows the length that is most beneficial to donate.

There's no need to shave your head if you want to donate to Locks of Love. You can cut it in a really short fashionable style instead. Hairstyles software will let you see what you would look like before getting it cut.

well i think its very nice of you to do that. i donated my hair to locks of love too actually. i cut off 11 inches. it did feel good. but if you were to go bald doing it.. i wouldnt do it. even if you were home schooled, you would still go out shopping or whatnot in public. and going out to get a wig is so expensive. you can always wait till your hair grows longer and then cut it like i did so you wont be giving up toooo much all at once

i think thats soo kind of you i realy do.. but are you sure you would be happy with a bald head??... i know its only hair but your happyness is just as important and if u were soooo sure of doing it wouldnt you have already done so and not be asking for peoples comments on here.... can you not just cut some off and at least leave u with a little bit hair and get extentions or something!

I must say that you considering this is very impressive and admirable. A lot of girls would never even consider to do such a thing. I think you're very smart in your approach and honestly, I think all of those kids would appreciate what you have done! Awesome :)
I say go for it

If your hair is long, you don't need to shave it all off. I donated to locks of love once before, and I didn't need to shave my head to do so. That's a generous gesture. Good for you.

If you are homeschooled, then you should be a minor. This being the case, you have to rely on your parents. They have final say in this decision. (Have you had you hair evaluated to see if it can actually be used?)

You sound such a nice person, just do what you think is right and your blessings will always be there. Go ahead and don't worry what they will say about you.
Good luck
