As Christians, the two things we can do to stand up for Christ are to live according to His word, and to grow our own knowledge. Christ said, “let your light shine before men…” (Matthew 5:16). This means that we should live and act in a way that supports the gospel. We should also arm ourselves with knowledge, both of the gospel (Ephesians 6:10-17), and of the world around us. 1 Peter 3:15 says: “But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” All we can do is live and teach as Christ would, and let Him take care of the rest.
The important thing to remember is that no one, no matter how persuasive, can force anyone to believe anything they don’t want to. No matter what the evidence, no matter what the argument, people will believe what they want to believe (Luke 12:54-56). This is true for both sides, since the angry-loud types are some of the least tolerant people around. But conviction is not a Christian’s job. The Holy Spirit convicts people (John 14:16-17), and they choose whether or not to believe. What we can do is present ourselves in a way that is as Christ-like as possible. Most of the “beating up” that Christianity endures involves actions that are not in line with Biblical teachings, or arguments that are deliberately twisted. It is sad that there are many atheists who have read the entire Bible, word for word, looking for ammunition to throw at Christians, and that there are many Christians who have hardly read the Bible at all.

some element like ex human beings who smoke i think of. they're additionally illiberal. As for 'born back' Christians they have in the past 'lapsed' for despite reason, then 'seen the sunshine' back. they have realised they have been residing in darkness, now this is all sparkling to them, they see between them Christians that are no longer 'actual' Christians etc........... i'm no longer religious in any respect, i do no longer think in God (Oh marvel horror)!! I even have continuously been very attracted to faith , all religions, and replaced into very stunned to discover that Christians are the main illiberal of the lot. i do no longer anticipate any faith to understand what their particular form is all approximately, yet I even have discovered that the Christians understand much less approximately their faith than the different crew I even have study, unusual that don't you think of? the main element they cant clarify is the Holy Trinity bit! Ask a Muslim bearing directly to the Koran or the different faith approximately their form, they have a miles extra desirable awareness of their faith than those Christians do approximately their very own! yet your question replaced into 'why might desire to this be'? All i will think of of is that in line with danger they're attempting to make up for lost time?

Simple:
The fundemental Golden Rule that is part of every basic religious practice and philosophy;
"Treat others the way you would want to be treated"
or
"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"
Based on some of the the "reactions" of Christians on this forum I sometimes feel that they should try a bit harder to practice what they preach.
If they want the tolerance of others which of course they do,
they should try to set the example and then they would better understand why this is a Golden Rule.

No offense, it shouldn't matter what religion you are. Or race, creed, nationality, color, height, weight, shoe size or underwear size you are. You should be tolerant of others. That includes others' religious beliefs, political choices', car color preferances, etc...
Golden Rule that everyone (should have) learned in Kindergarten:
TREAT OTHERS AS YOU WANT THEM TO TREAT YOU!

The same way Jesus was tolerant of us in our sins and with Love showed us the Way. We, in turn need to let our love of Jesus motivate us to show the lost without Jesus the Way. To be tolerant doesn't mean we bend our straight path to Jesus, just that we need to listen with love so that we can invite them on our path along side us..

Biblically, God is the only judge of man. One imperfect human is unfit to judge another imperfect human.
How can anyone on earth judge another on matters of going to heaven or hell, especially?
Realistically, intolerance only leads to hate and violence. If nobody tried to impose their own beliefs on other people, the world would be a much happier place. Live and let live.

I don't know if you call yourself christian or not.
Because Jesus called us to love our neighbour as ourselfs. You will never get somebody of another believe thinking you love and respect them if you don't respect their religion.
Remeber the good sameritain? The samaritians were a hated people, yet Jesus choose a sameritian to be the "good gye" in his parable about loveing others as ourselves.

Because if you are not tolerent to other people than it will come back and bite you in the asss and people will be intolerant to you. What goes around comes around, thats karma.

It's called Christian love ... which involves understanding of others! Christ never said we must know it all ... it is His love of God that we need to understand so we can understand others
and all religions ... which came from the same God in different cultures.
Tolerance is proof of the true understanding of God.
I hope you understand;

Yes.
"Leading them to Jesus" to be "born again" is the same as what they do on the QVC channel: Sell.
People don't need religion to have a personality or status or to get a job.
