She had gone outside for a while before all this began to happen. I live in Kenya at the moment, so maybe she was just bitten by ants or something like that. However, that clue may be a red herring. If you have a much wiser guess, please get back to me. At the moment I'm a bit stressed out over this, so please . . . no funny answers. Thanks.

First check her to see if there are any raised spots on her body to say she could have been biten by something. Watch her closely and if she acts un-normal take her to the vet immediately. Good Luck!!

the first thing i would suspect would be fleas, but since u r in a foreign country it makes it a little trickier. also, i am no expert i just have and foster cats. i would take her to the vet asap, but for now if she will let you if she has any light colored areas on her (white, yellow, etc) inspect her fur very close to her skin for fleas. If she has a heavy infestation, they will be all over but might be concentrated the most on her head, lower belly between back legs, and under "armpits" at least those are the hot spots i have noticed on cats with fleas. GOOD LUCK

If you have not already had this cat spayed, she's coming into heat--she's right at the age. Call your vet if you haven't had her spayed and get it done as soon as possible because you are in for some very sleepless nites & days when all the yelling and hollering begins. You will both be much happier. Good luck to you!

she may have been bitten by fleas, ants or no see ems, please keep her insde and take a warm face cloth and clean her off, like a mom cat would, I hope she is ok, poor kitten... I put perfume on my kitten when I was a lttle girl and it made my cat very very sick, I still feel bad, I had no idea. but I gave her a bath and she got better but was very mad at me for along time... I am extra nice to all animals now....I hope the kitten will be ok..
