can I run some old game if I'm using Vista? since I read that vista has some compatibility issues with some games

For the most part, yes. The only way to know for sure is to scour some message boards to see if anyone has experienced problems with the one you're looking at installing, or to just install it and give it a try.

Depends, most games should work better because of direct x 10 but some games might not. All of my games Half Life 2 , HL2 episode 1, Counter Strike Source, Day of defeat all work better on vista for me than they did on XP.

Vista has compatibility themes like MS DOS has compatibility themes. Vista is an relatively stable working gadget and that i choose for to advise it. no longer each and every thing will artwork for it, yet each and every thing new does artwork for it.
