We are no where near equal to Jesus who is part of the Trinity. God, Son and Holy Spirit are one. God became flesh and dwelt among us humans for the sake of salvation, so He could save us from eternal damnation. To say we are equal sounds like what Lucifer was all about, but then he fell from heaven. Everyone does not have God in them, but everyone could have the Holy Spirit in them, if they would say yes to the free gift of salvation and to a relationship with Jesus. We are not gods as the new agers would have you believe, so be careful not to let twisted illogical ideas get you headed down the wrong path. Read the Word for Truth.

Jesus possessed (for lack of a better word) a man that was pure of sin. Jesus was the son of God who took over the physical person. Jesus was a very common name back then. Jesus the man was just a man who endured this world. Jesus the son of God came to make us his equal, and bring us to Gos like he is to God!! God is like an egg. Jesus is the shell that draws us in, the holy spirit is the white and the father is like the yolk that is the center. All are God, just different parts of the same.

No. We are not equal to Jesus. You really need to read the Bible. At least part of it. Humans are creatures made by God to rule the earth in His name. Jesus was son of God and sacrificed for us to wash away our sins. He will come back again before the Judgment day, after men destroyed the world with their wars. God is above all men or women on earth. He is judging us based on our hearts. The so called Evil in us is what people made us believe about life without trusting God in His teaching. You are the only one to decide which side you are in.

The term is "only begotten son." Jesus is an hypostasis that emanates from the Father and shares an ontological identification with the essence of God. Human beings are all the 'offspring of God,' and we have God as our Father. But we do not directly share his essence, and we are not emanated hypostases. For this reason, Jesus is described as 'begotten' (geneseo), while we are described as 'created' (poieo).

You have to get this straight - we are NOT all his children in the literal sense and neither is Jesus the son of God.

No, we're not on equal footing, Jesus Christ was sinless, we're not. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one.

Jesus is NOT the son of God. He is the SLAVE of GOD. JESUS was a man just like you and men. He was a child of God just like we are too. Jesus was more blessed than us with spiritual direction and miraculous deeds, nevertheless, he was a man.

Straining at gnats and swallowing camels. Are you immortal? Then obviously you are not equal to Jesus.

No Jesus is also the CHRIST and Savior, you however are not. You are a temple for his Holy spirit, but you did not create the temple!
