yes i'm descended from william the conqueror on my dads side, and william pitt and edward elgar are in my family tree on my mums side. if you go back and across far enough we'll all have famous ancestors, i'm sure!

i havent proven it yet but im trying to find out if im related to a man called hugh bourne who was a preacher for the methodist church in stoke on trent, england in the late 18th early 19th century. my great grandad was a 'bourne' and i have traced my family back to 1806 but not found hugh bourne there yet... all my family are from stoke on trent so i guess there is a small chance we are related some how..... got a lot more researching to do yet
