I need help installing spark plug for 4runner

Couple of tips. Get a good spark plug socket. The spark plug may be in a difficult position to reach. You just have to wiggle around and get the socket, this is something that comes with experience. When you install the new spark plug you need to tighten it prooperly. You can do this with a torque wrench. I think the correct torque is 25nm but you have to look this up in a manual. You can borrow a torque wrench with a deposit at many auto part stores. Apply a little bit of anti-seize to the threads of the new spark plug prior to installation. This will prevent the threads from seizing on the head and make it easier to remove in the future. Also handle the new spark plugs gently as they are very delicately as dropping the plug or throwing the box could damage the electrode. Nothing makes me madder than a parts person throws the box of spark plug on the counter. There is a new socket on the market called lock it socket which properly holds the spark plug for difficult install jobs and you can order it on the interent. Finally when you start the new spark plug, start it with your hand with no leverage as it will prevent cross threading of the spark plug. Good Luck......

Remove the elec. cable.Then after removing the old plug by its special wrench,install the new plug by hand to the max ,then give it ONE complete turn. Do not over tight.Reconnect the cable.
