Of course the trends in the Earth's climate would make little since over only 6K years. Does this explain why so many batshite fundies deny global climate change?

I am christian, and I know the world is millions of years old. Now this dispensation of time from the garden of Eden until the second coming will be about 6000 years. But there was an earth age before the garden when Lucifer was still a good guy, and then God destroyed it because satan lead a rebellion and created the Garden. So we have 3 world ages. and the 3rd starts at the second coming.Cant wait! 2 peter talks of the 3 world ages.

I'm an atheist, and I accept that the earth is getting warmer, however, I think there is a great deal of hysteria about it. If we look back through the geological records we see the erath has gone through various cycles of hot and cold. It's a cyclical thing, and I don't believe we can change it. What we should be doing is fighting pollution because of all the other damage it does.

Obviously you're more intent on bashing those who believe in a Creator rather than a "Big Bang". If you would investigate history, ( You do know how to read, right? ) you would see that there have been global cycles of warming, and global cycles of freezing. There were times in Europe when they could grow corn crops, there were times when they could not due to cold. The earth goes through warming and freezing cycles. Why would now be an exception?

Maybe you need to get your info straight before you go bashing someones faith.

There is actually strong evidence that the issue known as global warming is nothing more than a natural repetitive cycle of highs and lows in the Earth's temperature.

I saw the melting glaciers on the news so I am not denying it. The predictions of Jesus are coming true. Bible scholars tell us the language suggest increase. Jesus did not just say "There will be pestilense, floods, earthquakes, wars, iniquitiy, famines etc..,but that they would increase before His return to set up his Kingdom on earth. All God has said is coming to pass in His timing.Read the amazing 24th chap. of Matthew and I won't even have to ask you to read it twice!!! God knew the end from the begining Isaiah 46 verse 10.

The truth is the creationist have a hard time getting a debate with evolutionists. The evolutionists simply will not debate them. They use excuses like " it's beneath us to stoop so low as to debate these country preachers", but that's not the real reason. After all, the creationists all have their PH'D's in all the different scientific disciplines and many of them have worked in the scientific industry for many years. The real reason is that the evolutionists have lost virtually every debate they've ever had with the creationists so they don't want to lose anymore. The creationists went out of their way, stopping short of doing cartwheels and back flips, to get debates with Stephan J. Gould and Carl Sagan but they never were able to get a debate with them. At least Gould came out and said he agreed with the creationist that there were no transitional forms. That's why him and Niles Eldridge came out with an alternate theory called 'punctuated equilibrium' that didn't require transitional forms, a theory that Richard Goldschmidt(also an evolutionists) called the 'hopeful monster theory'. But Sagan, who used to bag on creationists every week on his TV show, didn't have the guts to confront creationists face to face in a debate. But I guess that's understandable why they don't want to debate. If my argument was that the unbelieveable complexity of the human brain(not to mention the rest of the body) is nothing more than re-arranged pond scum from the original prebiotic soup re-arranged over billions of years into 100 trillion connections in the brain by luck…..just random chance, I wouldn't be that confident either.
If I was arguing that dumb mud somehow bootstrapped itself into intelligence over billions of years simply by random chance luck, I wouldn't want to debate either. If I were arguing that man is just a lump of slime that somehow evolved into rationality I'd run and hide as far away as I could from any kind of a debate. I guess that's why Dr. Louis Bounoure, Director of the Zoological Museum and Director of Research at the National Center of Scientific Research in France said "evolution is a fairy tale for adults".
